Kim Murray, RN, M.S., Medical Educator

I have always been a Teacher! My first degree, my Bachelor’s Degree was in Math for Secondary Education. After I worked as an Accountant for a few years in Baltimore City, I went back to school to become an RN, then got my Masters Degree in Clinical Leadership so I could teach Nursing. I was a Clinical Scholarship Recipient, and a Clinical and Lab Instructor for 5 years at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland for Adult Health, Health Assessment, Fundamentals, and Adult Health II (Critical Care).

Since then, I have been teaching Nursing at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing as well as teaching CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) for the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.I just love to help people understand how the body works scientifically and to give them those “aha” moments of clarity. I have also worked as a Clinic Nurse at the US Naval Academy and have enjoyed learning about Emergency and Disaster Management. When I’m not out volunteering or teaching CPR and First Aid, I am at home outside Washington, D.C. with my 4 kids and 3 cats trying to find some peace and quiet.
